Welcome to TWB Tax Holdings, a franchisee of Jackson Hewitt Tax Services! I’m Timothy W. Barrier, the franchisee manager, and helping you and your family with your taxes is my third great love — after faith and family. I’ve been a Certified Public Accountant and PA since July 1998, and I’ve been blessed to share life with my beloved wife, Kathy, since July 28, 1973.
I spent most of my childhood in Charlotte, NC, but my heart still carries the warm memories of Stamey Town Missionary Baptist Church in Newland, where my grandmother, Mamie Dellinger, taught Sunday School. That little mountain church holds deep significance across many generations of my family — Both of my grandparents, my mother, and my two uncles had their funeral services there.
Kathy and I both graduated from Myers Park High School, and afterward I earned my Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro before joining the military.
Today, I find joy in the simple and meaningful things: time with Kathy (and our kids and grandkids whenever possible!), cracking jokes, stargazing in the Appalachian Mountains in the summer and on Florida beaches in the winter, exploring local restaurants, taking on spicy foods I can’t really handle, spreading kindness, and — of course — making sure my franchise teams do your taxes accurately and professionally.
